Typical Scope of Work (SOW) for a multi-residential project

Each SOW is tailored to meet the specific expectations of the client and the requirements of the project...

Here is an example of the scope of work that RCM can offer their clients. We understand that every project is unique and that needs may vary. That’s why we offer complete flexibility, whether it’s for:

A structured and efficient workflow is at the core of our construction.

  1. Off-Site Manufacturing Modules are constructed indoors at our Canadian facility, protected from weather and under strict quality control. Up to 80% of the work—including finishes, electrical, mechanical, and equipment—is completed before they leave the factory.
  2. Site Preparation
While the modules are being built, the foundation and site infrastructure are prepared concurrently, saving valuable time.
  3. Transport and Assembly
Finished modules are transported to the site and assembled swiftly using a crane, minimizing delays and on-site labour.
  4. On-Site Finishing
Structural, electrical, and mechanical connections are finalized, followed by final touch-ups and finishes to ensure a turnkey building.

The advantages of modular construction in the multi-residential sector

Faster

Reduced Construction Timelines

With factory prefabrication, modules are built at the same time as the jobsite is being prepared—dramatically speeding up the overall timeline.

This parallel process can cut construction time by up to 50% compared to traditional methods, making it a powerful solution for delivering affordable housing faster.

Optimized Cost Control

Modular construction allows for better budget management through a standardized and predictable process. Factory production minimizes on-site surprises, reduces labor costs, and optimizes material usage—cutting down on waste.

These advantages make affordable housing projects more financially sustainable.

Quality Control

Guaranteed Quality and Durability

Modules are built in factory settings under strict quality control standards, ensuring consistent quality and greater precision in execution. Since they are assembled in a protected environment, they are not exposed to the weather-related risks that can affect the durability of conventional buildings.

This level of precision ensures safe, well-insulated housing that meets energy performance standards.

More Responsible

Lower environmental and neighborhood impact

Factory prefabrication significantly reduces construction waste while also minimizing transportation and on-site deliveries. A shorter construction schedule results in less nuisance for surrounding communities, fewer emissions from vehicle traffic, and a smaller overall environmental footprint.

Modular construction thus represents a more sustainable and responsible way to meet the growing need for affordable housing.
